How I Learned To Love The Freecoaster Hub

Primo Freemix - freecoaster hub

Primo Freemix - freecoaster hubI never really was one to support a freecoaster.

When I was younger, BMX riders considered it “cheating” to ride a freecoaster. As someone who looked up to all of the pros and even the older kids in my neighborhood, I saw that cassettes were the hub of choice and never once thought of switching it up.

Plus, freecoasters were expensive!

As freecoaster hubs began rising in popularity, I figured I would save up my money and give it a try.

When deciding which one to get, I saw the Cult and Shadow hubs, but they didn’t quite have what I was looking for.

But when I saw the Primo Freemix freecoaster hub, I knew I knew it was the one for me!

Once I put it on, it completely changed my way of riding. Everything became more difficult, and I had to relearn tricks I’d been doing for years. It challenged me…and I loved it.

After a few days, I began to respect the freecoaster hub, and it continues to grow on me to this day. I don’t think I’ll ever regret making the switch!
